The shape of your face determines how you wear your makeup and your hair.  Recognizing your face shape is essential for learning how to own and highlight your own beauty!  Plus, I did all the hunting and finding for you!! ENJOY!

How to Determine your Face by measurements; here is a great tutorial featuring an Easy Face Shape Test.

After figuring out your face shape you’ll be able to find out what shape eyebrows look best, the hairstyles/hair parts that are most flattering for you, and even what glasses look best.

Hair Cut:  Here is a great tutorial by So Sensational that will walk you through hairstyles for each shape face.  PinoyBuzz is another tutorial that covers round and diamond-shaped faces.

Eyebrows: Alyaka has a great article on the shape eyebrow for your face and how to achieve it.  Cosmopolitan does a great job with their visuals as well.

Glasses: I love Michelle Phan YouTube video The Best Glasses for Your Face Shape, she covers every single face shape and gives suggestions on the best and worst look.  Another great website is Glass Direct.  I also think Coastal does a good job showing an example of glasses that work with different face shapes, but they are missing a few facial shapes like a diamond and long shape.

Earrings: Holly Yashi has a guide for choosing the right earing for your face shape. I also like this video by Justine Leconte, I love her because she is a designer in Berlin who owns her own clothing line and truly loves sharing her knowledge with everyone.

Contouring: Oval, Round, Square, Heart, Dimond, Oblong, Rectangular , Inverted Triangle.  I am still looking for a good tutorial on Pear/Triangular shaped faces.  Keep in mind that some basic techniques and shapes go hand in hand, you’ll often hear people use the terms Heart and Triangle shape interchangeably, they are referencing to the inverted triangle; you might also hear people interchange Oblong and Rectangular.  Bear with me as I try to put together the most comprehensive list together so you don’t have to spend hours finding the information you need.

Blush: Wayne Goss, 4 Different Ways to Apply Blusher for your Face Shape, is an excellent tutorial for applying blush for your face shape.

Hair Parts: Most people part their hair with the current trend, but there are reasons parts start trends…someone finds the perfect part for their face shape and everyone thinks it looks beautiful so they want to wear their hair that way too.  Byrdie walks you through face shapes with suggestions and pictures on which hair parts look the best on which face shape.
