My name is Elizabeth and I am a woman with many titles, from wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, business owner, volunteer, the list goes on and on. I hold many spaces in life. It can feel like a poorly choreographed juggling act much of the time. When my health started to decline I quickly realized I didn’t have the capacity to hold all the spaces in the same way I had before. Forget juggling, I was drowning, they felt like crator sized iron balls and they were crushing me.
deep breath…
I tried and failed with so many techniques, programs, and investments that promised success. Ten’s of thousands of dollars were poured into programs, modalities, and services that promised to realign me with my goals and dreams. Alas, I wish I had known then what I will be sharing with you. I found it, ironically, through YouTube and it was purely accidental.
the moment…
I stumbled upon a you tube channel. It felt calm, peaceful, purposeful. I’ve organized many homes over my life time but despite all my effort I could not get my life to feel anywhere close to the life streaming in front of me. I told myself it was clever editing and their life was chaotic too, but the desire to have my life feel as intentional as their episodes kept pulling at me.
then change…
And then, life completely changed. Another move. Another opportunity. Another health crisis. The moments kept coming. I kept feeling this pull that there was more to life than being hit in the chest by each wave life was pushing at me. I was determined to find a better way!
understanding…
I finally understood that life was never meant to be juggled. It was meant to be surfed! We get to choose our board, we get to decide which wave to ride, and we get to choose who we paddle out with.
In that moment I realized, I get not only to choose the board (the things I choose to carry through life and the things that carry me) but also the wave (perfect or not, big or small). I can enjoy the journey as the wave carries me toward the shore line, my firm and lasting legacy and I can help others along the way.
now you…
We cant walk (or surf) through life alone. We need each other. We need to help each other. Our world is dominated by negative and overwhelming issues. This constant bombardment is like standing in a heavy shore break. It’s going to pull our feet and knock us over, and if we get caught by the under-toe it can often produce symptoms of depression and anxiety as we fight to get our heads above the water.

I feel blessed to share this earth with you. To walk with you through this journey and I feel deeply honored that you’ve decided to walk through this with me! I am first and foremost always chasing peace and purpose above perfection or image. Thankfully my faith has always kept me grounded in these principles but my story isn’t without pain and struggle, as I imagine yours is not either. It’s so hard to put ourselves out there but we all have a measure of bravery, so, lets paddle out together. There’s a beautiful board and an amazing wave just for you!!
